This project focused on redesigning the Chutneys restaurant website to improve usability and make it easier for customers to explore the menu and discover dishes. I began by conducting a heuristic evaluation of the existing website and performing user research to understand how people browse restaurant menus online when deciding what to order. This process helped identify several usability issues, including unclear menu organization, limited dish information, and difficulty locating specific items.
Using these insights, I redesigned the homepage and restructured the menu architecture to create a clearer and more intuitive browsing experience. I introduced improved menu categorization and dedicated pages for individual dishes with more detailed information and visuals. The final design focused on improving information hierarchy and helping users quickly find and evaluate menu items, making the overall experience simpler and more efficient for customers.
